Last time, I wrote an article about “Hatsumode”, but there is one more thing we usually do when you go to “Hatsumode” in Japan. It’s an “Omikuji”.
“Omikuji” is such as a lottery that is received to predict fortune.
It is said that Japanese “Omikuji” came from China.
Various fortunes are written on the “Omikuji”, so I will introduce them.
In general, there are 7 types of lucks. Great luck, good luck, middle luck, small luck, uncertain luck, bad luck, and worse luck, and it is said that the luck is good in this order. However, the order differs depending on the shrine. Depending on the location, there are English “Omikuji” , so if you are visiting from overseas, please look for them.
If you receive an “Omikuji” and get great luck, you will feel very happy, but it is important to check what is written on the “Omikuji”. There is a possibility that bad things written in Daikichi, there are good things written in Daikyo.
After receiving an “Omikuji”, you can either take it home or tie it to the shrine. The reason for tying to tie a good relationship. There is a place in the shrine where you can tie an “Omikuji”, so let’s tie it there.
By the way, my fortune this year was uncertain luck. I hope to receive great luck next year.
前回は初詣について記事を書きましたが、日本では初詣に行った際にすることがもう一つあります。それは、おみくじです。
おみくじとは吉凶を占うために引くくじのことで、参拝をした後に引くことで神の真意を知ることができると言われいます。
日本のおみくじは中国から伝わってきたものと言われています。
おみくじにはいろいろな運勢が書かれておりますので紹介していきます。
一般的には「大吉・吉・中吉・小吉・末吉・凶・大凶」の7種類が存在し、この順番で運勢が良いとされています。ただし、順番については神社によって違いがあります。場所によっては英語のおみくじもあるので、海外からお越しの方はぜひ探してみてください。
おみくじを引いて大吉が出た場合、とても嬉しい気持ちになりますが、おみくじに書かれている内容を確認することが大切です。大吉でも悪いことが書いてあることがあれば、大凶でも良いことが書いてあることがあります。
おみくじを引いた後は持って帰るのも神社に結んで帰ることも問題ありません。結ぶ理由は、縁を結ぶという意味になります。神社にはおみくじを結ぶことができる場所があるのでそこに結びましょう。
ちなみに私の今年の運勢は、末吉でした。来年は大吉を引きたいです。
